Our classes are designed to teach empathy and sensitivity along with
21st Century Skills.

Youth Classes

paper heART Afterschool Programming

young at heART students will discover and develop their artistic expression through visual arts, dance, spoken word, poetry, photography, and digital storytelling. While expressing themselves artistically, the students will explore what it means to care about others, thus developing a better understanding of themselves and their role in society. This class is designed to teach empathy and sensitivity, along with artistic expression. (k-3rd; 6 min, 10 max)

 

paper heART Afterschool students will discover and develop their artistic expression through visual arts, dance, spoken word, poetry, photography, and digital storytelling. While expressing themselves artistically, the students will explore and learn about multicultural experiences and injustices. They will also develop a social change project to tackle an issue plaguing society. This class emphasizes the 21st Century Learning Skills (creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration.)  (4th-8th; 6 min, 10 max)  

paper heART Light

This 4 week class that meets for three hours on Saturdays, is designed to teach. Participants will delve into their inner selves and participate in discussions that explore sensitivity, tolerance, and social injustices while creating artwork in different genres. Classes include guest speakers and hands on projects. This is a primer for our paper heART Summer Camp that will inspire your child to be a world-changer.

 

Classes are held on Saturdays.
